Hanrapetutyun Party seeks activation
Hanrapetutyun (Republic) Party has held a meeting with residents of Maralik, a city in Armenian province (marz) of Shirak. The meeting, organized by Sevak Saghatelyan, Head of the Shirak-based structure of Hanrapetutyun Party, was attended by the members and supporters of the party.
Hanrapetutyun Party Leader Aram Sagsyan and members of the party's political council Suren Abrahamyan, Rafik Mkrtchyan, Khachik Simonyan and head of the Gyumri structure Ashot Zakaryan delivered welcoming addresses.
The participants of the gathering were mainly interested in the internal political situation in Armenia, the future steps of Hanrapetutyun Party, relations between the party and opposition Armenian National Congress (HAK). They also discussed issues related to Aram Sargsyan's recent visit to the USA.
"The party members called for active measures for establishing legitimate authorities in the country," Khachik Simonyan, a members of the party's political council, told A1+.
After the meeting in Maralik, the party's officials went to see the father of Mushegh Saghatelyan, a senior representative of the party.
The party is going to rally its supporters in the near future.
During his visit to Maralik, HAK leader Levon Ter-Petrosyan also met Saghatelyan's father.
