Heritage officials attending EPP gathering in Bucharest
Two representatives of the opposition Heritage Party attended the Political Assembly (PA) of the European People's Party (EPP) held in Bucharest on October 16.
In Bucharest, Styopa Safaryan, general secretary of the party's political council and Zaruhi Postanjyan, secretary of the Heritage parliamentary group, held meetings and discussions with delegates from different countries and with EPP officials. In particular, Heritage officials met with with EPP President Wilfred Martens, Vice President Jacek Saryuz Volsky, Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili, PACE President Jean-Claude Mignon, and other EPP representatives.
During the meetings, the party representatives referred to Armenia's domestic political situation, the upcoming presidential elections and full cooperation between the EPP and Heritage. Heritage's stance on regional and foreign policy issue was also a topic of interest.
Today, the Heritage officials are attending the EPP's 21st session, The Answer is More Europe, which will last through October 18.
