Military expert: These are empty threats
Military expert David Jamalyan says Azerbaijan's and Turkey's reaction was predictable following the operation of the Stepanakert Airport.
"I do not think that Azerbaijan will turn its threats [of downing civil airplanes and blocking its airspace] into action," he said adding that the threats are mainly of psychological nature.
"If, however, Azerbaijan decides to fulfill its threats, Armenia's response will be accurate and very painful," said the military expert.
In conclusion, Mr Jamalyan says the operation of the airport and the related threats cannot cause large-scale military actions.
