Diplomat views reports on utility costs as achievement
Former Armenian envoy to Lebanon Arman Navasardyan is aware of the greatest achievement of Armenia's foreign policy in the last five years.
"Last year, our foreign minister presented definite figures, saying how many documents the Ministry had received and how many of them had been put into circulation," he said.
He considers document flow and circulation to be a serious diplomatic achievement in the country's foreign policy, alongside with the reports on utility costs.
The diplomat could not give more details for fear of not being accused of espionage.
"This is a wide-spread trick applied in all countries to hide whatsoever the diplomatic corps are unable to hide," said Mr Navasardyan.
The diplomat is also aware of the process of the Karabakh peace deal and Armenian-Turkish relations. "We are not interested in the way the Karabakh issue will be settled. Tell us what's going on, because we pay money for it," he says.
The diplomat would be happy to see transparency in both issues though he knows there is not such an option.
"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs does not have a board to discuss foreign challenges. It is already ten years heads of the Ministry's departments have not sat down to consider the ongoing events," he said.
In conclusion, the ex-envoy said all foreign ministers have always felt as kings and suggested putting an end to that system.
