Autumn call-up starts in Armenia
Serzh Sargsyan has signed a decree on 2012 autumn call-up and demobilization.
According to the decree, during October-December 2011 those male citizens who turn 18 before the draft day, as well as those who lost the draft deferment right will be called up for compulsory military and alternative service.
During October-December 2012, those who completed the compulsory military service will be demobilized.
The RA government has been instructed to adopt a corresponding decision on executing the decree within two weeks after it enters into force.
