BHK boycotts voting
National Assembly is presently hearing the petition of Prosecutor General Aghvan Hovsepyan who asks the legislative body to allow prosecution of Vartan Oskanian, a former foreign minister of Armenia, MP of the Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK) and founder of the Civilitas Foundation, on money laundering charges filed against Civilitas.
Sixty-five MPs have voted for putting the petition on stripping Vartan Oskanian of his parliamentary immunity on the meeting agenda. The BHK did not participate in the vote.
