Which Vartan Prosecutor General means?
Armenia's National Assembly is hearing on Monday Prosecutor General Aghvan Hovsepyan's decision to ask the NA to allow prosecution of Vartan Oskanian, ex-foreign minister and founder of the Civilitas Foundation, on money laundering charges.
In the meantime, a group of citizens are holding a protest rally outside the NA building in support of Oskanian. Representatives of NGOs have joined the group that asks Aghvan Hovsepyan whether he has confused Vartan Oskanian with Vartan Ayvazyan, a lawmaker from the ruling Republican Party of Armenia.
The protest is organized by the "Stop Persecution of Vartan Oskanian" political initiative.
