Tuition fees have risen in some Armenian educational institutions this year.

The "elite" departments of Yerevan State University (YSU) include: Law Department (the annual fee is 500,000 AMD), Department of International Relations (500,000 AMD), Department of Economics (480,000 AMD), Department of Romano-Germanic Languages (450,000 AMD), and Department of Oriental Studies (450,000 AMD). There have been no changes in the fees of these "elite" departments in the past five years.

The fees charged by the remaining departments of YSU have risen over this period. For example, the fees of the Department of Mathematics and Mechanics, the Department of Chemistry, and the Department of Philosophy and Psychology have risen by 50,000 AMD, by the Department of History by 20,000 AMD, and by the Department of Sociology by 70,000 AMD.

All the departments of the Yerevan State Linguistic University after Brysov charge the same fee as five years ago: 400,000 AMD.
The fees of the Yerevan State Medical University after Heratsi have not changed, either. The students of the Department of General Medicine and the Department of Stomatology pay 800,000 AMD annually, the students of the Department of Pharmacy pay 580,000 AMD.
Two departments (the Management Department and the Department of Accounting) of the Armenian State University of Economics have raised their fees from 400,000 to 480,000 AMD.
