BHK leader advises voters to follow dictates of conscience
Leader of the Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK) has called on Armenian citizens to vote during the Sept. 23 local elections as their conscience dictates.
"Local government elections are scheduled to be held in a number of communities in Armenia on Sept. 23. Local elections are as important as general elections for ensuring good governance and an atmosphere of solidarity," Mr. Tsarukyan said in a message issued on Friday.
"The BHK has nominated in candidates in different communities. At the same time, the party supports non-partisan candidates enjoying public confidence. Dear compatriots, you will choose the head of your villages and cities. In the next few years, you will communicate with them almost every day. The solution to your problems greatly depends on their conscientious and faithful work. I urge you to act in accordance with the dictates of your conscience and convictions during the vote. Only in that case, you can have the right to demand something. I assure you that BHK candidates will always be accountable before you and to the party, they will be accountable for their deeds and misdeeds. Your questions, concerns and complaints will be audible for the authorities. People should never suffer because of a bad official. I'm always ready to support good mayors. We must simply believe that our vote will enable us to start building a fair and strong Armenia from our community."
