Why do candidate withdraw from race?
Municipal elections are scheduled to take place in six communities in Armenia on Sept. 23.
Of the 33 candidates, 18 have already withdrawn from the race.
Hrach Tadevosyan, a member of the ARF Supreme Body, says the withdrawal can be linked to a number of factors and he cannot draw conclusions unless he knows the real reasons.
"They can be the result of pressures or some shadow arrangements," he stressed.
While assessing the September 9 municipal elections, Mr. Tadevosyan said there were significant violations, especially during the pre-election period.
