Spartak Petrosyan to run for parliamentary seat
Spartak Petrosyan, a former candidate for mayor in Armenia's Gyumri city, is likely run for a parliamentary seat in Constituency No 35.
"I do not exclude my nomination. There are issues that need to ne discussed and analyzed. I shall take a decision a bit later," Mr Petrosyan told Gyumri's GALA TV
On Sept. 9, Samvel Balasanyan, an MP of the Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK), won the mayoral election in Gyumri receiving 65% of the vote. Spartak Petrosyan trailed far behind with 2130 votes (about 5%). The two other candidates, Andranik Avetisyan and Hovsep Simonyan received 5.7% and 24.3% votes, respectively.
