French Armenians preparing for Aliyev's arrival
Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev is due to arrive in France on Sept. 18. A large-scale protest action will be held outside the Azerbaijani Embassy in Paris on that day, with local Armenians expressing their sullen resentment over the shameful deal between Azerbaijan and Hungary and the ensuing extradition of Azerbaijani assassin Ramil Safarov. The action is organized by the Co-ordination Council of Armenian organizations of France (CCAF). Citizens of Lyon, Marseille and other cities are expected to join the demonstrators in Paris.
Armenians all over the world continue protesting the extradition and pardoning of the Azeri officer Ramil Safarov who killed with an axe Armenian lieutenant Gurgen Margaryan during a 2004 NATO training event in Budapest, reports the Department of Armenian Communities of Europe of the RA Ministry of Diaspora.
