Violations revealed
The State Environmental Inspection reveals
As a result of violations revealed during the checks conducted by the State Environmental Inspection of the RA Ministry of Nature Protection from 3 to 7 September of this year, 15 decisions on administrative fines of a total of 18 million AMD were made and damages of a total of 4.21 million AMD to environment were calculated.
In particular:
Water protection sphere
The Water Control Unit conducted checks of one economic entity, making a decision on imposing an administrative fine of 100,000 AMD and calculating a damage of 86,700 AMD to the environment.
Vegetable world protection sphere
Under 3 illegal grazing cases filed to the territorial unit of Gegharkunik Marz, 3 decisions on administrative fines of 180,000 AMD were made and damages of 49,000 AMD to nature were calculated.
Under 18 cases of illegal logging filed to the territorial unit of Tavush Marz, damages of 3,496,500 AMD to nature were calculated and one decision on an administrative fine of 50,000 AMD was made. Administrative proceedings of the other cases are underway.
Illegal fishing
As a result of checks conducted by employees of the Biodiversity, Land, Waste and Hazardous Substances Control Unit, 2 decisions were made to impose administrative fines of a total of 300,000 AMD on two natural persons who violated fishing regulations, and damages of a total of 8,000 AMD to nature were calculated
Illegal timber transportation
As a result of checks conducted by employees of the Tavush territorial unit, 3 decisions were made to impose administrative fines of a total of 300,000 AMD on three natural persons for illegal transportation of timber, and damages of a total 39,360 AMD to the environment were calculated.
All in all, 1.73 million AMD was transferred to the state budget of Armenia in the mentioned period as a result of punitive measures taken by the State Environmental Inspection, PR Unit of the Ministry reports.
