Junior Eurovision Armenia Organization Committee did not allow Marine Abrahamyan, 13, to participate in the pre-stage election phase without reasoning its decision, says Liana Stepanyan, vice-president of Talented Generation NGO. The NGO cooperates with the production company that represents Marine Abrahamyan.

"Both Marine and the song comply with the requirements of the song contest - Marine is 13 years old [participants must be between 10 and 15], she is the author of the lyrics and co-author of the music and has wonderful voice. However, the Committee says the song is too serious to be performed at the song contest. Besides, they claim that it does not meet the format of the song contest but you cannot find similar formulation among the obligatory requirements. Similarly, Ukraine will perform a serious song which makes us believe that there is evident discrimination and violation of children's rights," she said.

The tenth Junior Eurovision Song Contest will be held on the 1st of December in the HMH Arena in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

The Armenian National Selection for Junior Eurovision 2012 will be held on September 30.
