Coat of arms to depict immoral woman as well?
Expert of monuments Samvel Karapetyan suggests that part of Armenia's coat of arms should depict an immoral woman.
He came to this conclusion after the monument "The Smoking Woman" was recently set in Cascade, Yerevan. At the same time he believes that it symbolizes our reality.
"Armenia with a population of 3 million has one million smokers and is in third place in the world, after Moldova and Greece, so I have nothing to add," Mr. Karapetayn told A1+.
In his opinion, we simply do not have our own face.
At today's meeting with reporters Mr. Karapetyan said that despite the ban, the fund studing Armenian architecture numerates monuments located outside Armenia.
In the words of the expert, Armenian monuments are endangered. The restoration of Akhtamar Church in Van, Turkey, was for show as in parallel with that, the 7th century Mreni temple was destroyed.
"All this is state sponsored," he concluded.
Mr. Karapetyan said with sadness that many churches and temples in Armenia are not preserved.
