Prosecutor relieved of his post
By the August 22 decree of the RA Prosecutor General, Prosecutor of Syunik Marz (Province) Arayik Tarverdyan was relieved of his post.
Under Article 36, Point 6 of the RA Law on Prosecutor's Office, regional prosecutors are appointed by the Prosecutor General, who selects them from a promotion list. A positive recommendation of the qualification commission is also required for a person to be appointed regional prosecutor.
In case of such appointment, the Prosecutor General removes the appointed person from the promotion list.
