If Ruben Hayrapetyan resigns…
Member of Heritage party Stepan Safaryan reiterates that in case Republican MP Ruben Hayrapetyan puts down his mandate, he will be nominated at Constituency #1. At the same time, Mr. Safaryan declines to comment on allegations that Mr. Hayrapetyan will not keep his promise and lay down his mandate.
"I do not want to leave the impression that I am concerned about taking a seat in parliament or I dream about it day and night. I carry out political and legislative activity even without a mandate," said the Heritage representative.
Anyway, Mr. Safaryan recommends against giving promises and breaking them.
"Ruben Hayrapetyan should keep his promise first of all for his reputation. I do not care for his promises," he said.
Stepan Safaryan is more concerned about the death of military doctor Vahe Hayrapetyan who was brutally beaten at [Hayrapetyan's] Harsnakar Restaurant and the public outcry which forced Hayrapetyan to announce his intention to put down his mandate.
"I want the murder to be disclosed. It is disgusting to see everyone trying to conceal the crime and save the criminals," said Safaryan.
