"Brawl was incited by Vedi Mayor"
"The provocation against my family was organized by Vedi Mayor Varujan Barseghyan and his brother Artak Barseghyan, a judge of the Court of Appeals. It was realised by Margar Melkonyan, former head of the Police Ararat Regional Department and Sevan Kocharyan, semiliterate head of the local police, says Mariam Artenyan, a resident of Vedi village in Ararat province.
A criminal case was initiated against the Artenyans following January 21, 2011 incident in a local gas-filling station which involved Razmik Artenyan, his two sons Samvel and Srapion Artenyan as well as police officers.
