A fire erupted on the top floor of a seven-story building at 665 New York Avenue in Holy Cross, Brooklyn, this morning, injuring at least 24 people, RIA Novosti reports.

A lightning bolt is believed to be the culprit of the fire, which ravaged the top floor of the building. It took a total of 200 firefighters and about four hours to bring everything under control. The building has more than 100 apartments, 18 of which burnt to the ground.

The injuries were mostly minor, although one firefighter reported that he was experiencing chest pains.
