Ministry of Justice: "Water supply is not suspended"
Armenia's Ministry of Justice refutes press reports that Nubarashen prison has not had drinking water for two months now.
"We would like to inform everyone that there are three penitentiary institutions in Nubarashen highway - Nubarashen, Erebuni and Vardashen. On July 23, the pumping engine broke down in Vardashen prison but the problem was addressed in a little while. Water supply was soon restored. There have been no problems connected with water in other prisons," the Ministry said in a statement.
