Heritage Party’s legislative initiative
Today the deputies of Heritage Party's faction placed into circulation the draft decision of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia "On Creating an Ad-Hoc Anti-Corruption Committee for Manifestations and Facts of Corruption" and the draft of the law of the Republic of Armenia "On the Condemnation of the Genocide of Pontos-Armenians in the Ottoman Empire".
The draft decision of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia "On Creating an Ad-Hoc Anti-Corruption Committee for Manifestations and Facts of Corruption" envisages creating an NA ad-hoc committee to study local self-government bodies' fight against corruption, particularly to recognize the mining industry, privatization and the supreme public interest and change the significance of the purposefulness of lands, and to submit conclusions to the National Assembly with the view of studying the manifestations of corruption in the process of state purchase and the facts recorded in the annual review of the RA Control Chamber in 2011.
The draft of the law of the Republic of Armenia "On the Condemnation of the Genocide of Pontos-Armenians in the Ottoman Empire" envisages condemning the genocide perpetrated against the Ponto-Armenians in the Ottoman Empire, viewing it as the heaviest crime against humanity.
