OEK to endorse Vardan Ghukasyan?
"Yes, if Vardan Ghukasyan runs in the elections, "Country of Law" Party's (OEK) members in Gyumri will vote for him once again. This isn't a nationwide election. These are the local self-government body elections, and our territorial organization is free to discuss and make its own decisions," said member of the OEK board Hovhannes Margaryan.
We remind that candidate of the Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK) Samvel Balasanyan, who is supported by the Republican Party of Armenia (HHK), used to be a member of the OEK. When several businessmen left the OEK after the latter became an opposition party, as a sign of loyalty to the party, on one occasion Balasanyan announced that he would always be a member of the OEK.
However, life showed that Samvel Balasanyan could also be a member of another party.
