The U.S. House of Representatives has rejected the bill on granting Turkish companies monopolies, reports the Voice of America.

The bipartisan House of Representatives rejected the Resolution on the Indian Tribal Trade and Investment Demonstration Project Act of 2011, which envisaged granting Turkish companies the monopoly of making investments in the lands belonging to Native Americans.
According to the Armenian Assembly of America, the bill was rejected since it didn't ensure two-thirds of the majority of votes needed.

Congressman of the Armenian Caucus Frank Pallone especially gave a negative evaluation of the bill.

"There is no weighty reason for adopting such a bill. There are many grounds for rejecting this bill," said Pallone.

In reference to several concerns, including the ongoing denial of the Armenian Genocide and the occupation of Northern Cyprus, Congressman Pallone called on his colleagues to vote against this bill.
