Serzh Sargsyan congratulates NKR Pesident-elect
Serzh Sargsyan has congratulated President of Nagorno-Karabakh Republic Bako Sahakyan on his re-election to a second term of office.
"Your convincing victory in the elections is the confirmation of the historic choice of the people of Artsakh and the irreversible path towards political freedom, democracy and society anchoired in national and universal values. This is the common path of Armenia, Artsakh and all Armenians and we are going to pass it together," Serzh Sargsyan said in the message.
"In your person, I wish the people of Artsakh progress, prosperity, as well as capacity to resist the existing challenges to the people of Artsakh. I also wish you a peaceful sky which is the guarantee for our future success," said the Armenian leader.
Three candidates were running in the July 19 presidential elections in the NKR. Incumbent President Bako Sahakyan was re-elected, according to the preliminary results released by the country's Central Electoral Commission.
