After the Executive Body of the Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) ended its session today, Vice-Chairman of the Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) Galust Sahakyan said the following when asked if HHK member Nahapet Gevorgyan (Novo), whose son confiscated a car with the threat of murder, would follow Ruben Hayrapetyan's example and drop his mandate as well: "The person who commits a crime is punished." Sahakyan didn't go into detail on whether Ruben Hayrapetyan had committed a crime to, according to the HHK, drop his mandate.

Touching upon the act that Nahapet Gevorgyan's son committed, the HHK Vice-Chairman said: "We discussed that issue during this session. The Executive Body is neither an investigative body nor a law-enforcement authority. It is an authorized body and doesn't have the right to interfere, much less give hypothetical evaluations." According to Sahakyan, Serzh Sargsyan's couldn't have expressed his view on the incident since he was not informed.

The HHK Vice-Chairman said he didn't know if potential candidate for mayor of Gyumri Samvel Balasanyan had had a meeting with Serzh Sargsyan or not. "We didn't discuss that issue during the session. I can't say," said Sahakyan, adding that the executive body doesn't discuss such issues during its sessions.
