ADB promises to stay loyal to its committments
Serzh Sargsyan received on Wednesday a delegation headed by Vice-President of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), Xiaoyu Zhao.
The Armenian leader highly appreciated the ADB activity in Armenia and the whole Asian region. Serzh Sargsyan voiced hope that the visit of the ADB Vice-President would promote the further cooperation between Armenia and the Bank targeted at the sustainable development of the country and improvement of infrastructures.
Xiaoyu Zhao assured Serzh Sargsyan that the Bank would continue to work in Armenia with the same vigor and would stay loyal to its commitments. He noted that the Bank was working in cooperation with the Armenian Government towards construction of the North-South highway. The interlocutors agreed that the implementation of that program of pivotal importance will considerably promote the development of the sphere.
The parties emphasized the importance of implementation of ADB-supported programs in Armenia in promising spheres like Information Technologies, tourism, agriculture, mining and chemical industry.
