Clinton: “U.S. will show its power”
U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has declared that the U.S. will apply "all the elements of America's power to not let Iran receive nuclear weapons".
According to the Voice of America, Clinton made this statement after her meeting with Israeli officials during which she called Iran's proposals related to the nuclear program "without any perspective".
"We prefer giving a diplomatic solution to this issue, and Iran's officials still have a chance to make the right decision," said the U.S. Secretary of State, adding that it is up to the Iranian government to make the final decision.
The U.S. Secretary of State also met with Prime Minister of the Autonomy of Palestinians Salam Fayad. During the meeting, the sides discussed the directions for developing the autonomy in terms of institutions and promoting the peace process between the Israeli and the Palestinians.
