Ex-Ambassador of Syria to Iraq Navak Fares, who has joined the opposition, told the BBC that Bashar Assad is ready to apply chemical weapons, if he finds himself in a situation that he can't get out of.

According to the oppositionist diplomat, according to unconfirmed data, Assad's regime has already applied such weapons in the past.

Fares also said bombs have exploded in several Syrian cities and villages through the combined efforts of the Syrian regime and Al Qaeda.

According to Fares, President of Syria Bashar Assad won't step down in peace and is even ready to "sacrifice the entire population of Syria".

We remind that Navaf Fares is the first high-ranking diplomat that left Assad's regime and joined the opposition fighting against that same regime.
