Children in poverty
Stella Mkrtchyan, 33, wasn't home when the employees of Shirak Center visited her shack located on Gertsen Street. Mkrtchyan has five underage children and works in the fields of one of the villages of Shirak region to earn a living.
The children's grandmother was taking care of the youngest child, two and a half year old Elena, while the other children were playing in the shack. At first sight, it seemed as though this family, especially the children were simply in poverty.
