NA extraordinary session for Harsnakar case
The Armenian National Congress (HAK), Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK), the Armenian Revolutionary Federation-Dashnaktsutyun (ARF-D) and Heritage Party have made a proposal to convene an extraordinary session at the National Assembly on July 17 with the purpose of creating an ad-hoc committee in relation to the incidents that took place at Harsnakar Restaurant.
This is what Armenian National Congress (HAK) Central Office Coordinator Levon Zurabyan announced during a press conference, but didn't mention which force had made the proposal. He called on all independent deputies to go to NA Deputy Nikol Pashinyan's office and sign under the proposal. The petition will start at 17:55.
The forms have been sent to the NA secretariat.
Declaration
Taking into account that the extreme crimes that took place at Harsnakar Restaurant Complex in Yerevan on 17 June 2012 have led to great social upheaval, leading to a huge wave of public discontent and spontaneous massive actions,
Taking into account that the rapid and adequate response of the National Assembly will contribute to the weakening of social tension, the elimination of the atmosphere of impunity, as well as the assurance of the principles of equality of everyone and the inevitability of responsibility,
Taking into account that the issue on the participation of the NA deputy and responsibility in relation to the cases is being touched upon,
Taking into account that the inadequate and flawed evaluation of criminal law may have a negative impact on the moral-psychological state of the Armenian Army,
Taking into account the consultations with the representatives of the factions of Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK), the Armenian Revolutionary Federation-Dashnaktsutyun (ARF-D) and Heritage Party, we decide to convene a special NA sitting with the deputies of other factions on July 17 at 12:00 with the agenda "On adopting an NA decision on creating an ad-hoc NA committee with the purpose of studying the circumstances behind the brutal beating of a group of officers of the Ministry of Defense at Harsnakar Restaurant Complex in Yerevan on 17 June 2012 and the cause of the death of one of them".
