Artashes Geghamnyan: “Where were those ignoble people?”
Ruben Hayrapetyan is a splendid person," says leader of the National Unity Party, member of the Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) Artashes Geghamyan.
He and Ruben Hayrapetyan have only met once at the May 4 rally of the Republican Party of Armenia during which hot air balloons exploded and injured 179 people. After the tragic event, Geghamyan called it "adequate events".
Even though the leader of National Unity Party is aware of the incident that took place at Harsnakar Restaurant and who the victim was, he expresses deep condolences to the family members of Karen, and not Vahe Avetyan.
Geghamyan sincerely says he had a serious reason for not participating in the funeral of Vahe Avetyan, who died as a result of a beating at Harsnakar Restaurant.
"I didn't think it would be sincere for me to take part in that funeral."
The deputy of the National Assembly says he is certain that "ignoble people" are trying to politicize the tragedy that took place at Harsnakar and asks where those ignoble opposition members were during the murder of Poghos Poghosyan.
"For some reason, none of those political leaders went to the funeral and nobody gave interviews," said Geghamyan.
Now Geghamyan prays to God so that He helps find out who the ignoble people politicizing Vahe Avetyan's death are and who, according to Geghamyan, aren't registered in Armenia. As for Ruben Hayrapetyan, Serzh Sargsyan's supporter Artashes Geghamyan says he only expresses his solidarity to Ruben Hayrapetyan after the incident that took place at Harsnakar
