"The Armenian Revolutionary Federation-Dashnaktsutyun (ARF-D) has many presidential candidates, but that nomination won't be an end in itself," said representative of the ARF-D Supreme Body Armen Rustamyan today.

According to him, whoever is nominated and expects the Dashnaktsutyun's support will have to agree with the party's proposal, and that is the following: "The idea that the President's resignation and the transition to the control of parliamentarians and the opposition to counterbalance the authorities may bring the opposition mass together in Armenia."

Based on the Supreme Body's latest decision, change of power has become an imperative for the Dashnaktsutyun, and for that Rustamyan sees more than a 50 percent electorate.

However, the question is whether the Dashnaktsutyun will be able to unite the oppositionists for change of power or not. Armen Rustamyan says the unified candidate of the opposition has to be secondary for the opposition. "As soon as we nominate the person, there will be discussions on why this person and not the other."

Armen Rustamyan says he knows that the candidate can be from the four political parties, including the Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK), the Armenian National Congress (HAK), the Dashnaktsutyun and Heritage Party.

"It can be a fourth person, or a fifth person, who is reputable in this country," says Rustamyan.

The Dashnaktsutyun has hope to convince the people not to take the 10 or 20 thousand drams during the presidential elections.

Nevertheless, the plan to change power will be on the Dashnaktsutyun's agenda as long as it hasn't achieved that.
