"The office of a "deputy representative" is not something new for the Supreme Body of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation-Dashnaktsutyun"," said newly elected deputy representative of the ARF-D Arsen Hambardzumyan today and informed that the Supreme Body has elected six new members, five of which have never been members of the Supreme Body.

According to Mr. Hambardzumyan, a peculiarity of the Supreme Assembly was that there were representatives of ARF-D structures abroad that had the right to give advice. The deputy representative called upon understanding the closed assemblies of the ARF-D.

According to him, holding open-door meetings may make people feel constrained when it comes time to make decisions. The goal of holding closed meetings is to rule out the speculation of viewpoints and the desire to conduct the meetings based on that," said Arsen Hambardzumyan.

During the ARF-D Supreme Body's assembly held in Vanadzor on 5-8 July, member of the ARF-D faction Aghvan Vardanyan was elected a deputy representative, and Armen Rustamyan was reelected the Supreme Body's representative.
