Members of the Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) welcome their partymate Ruben Hayrapetyan's decision to put down his deputy mandate after the tragic incident at his Harsnakar restaurant which resulted in the death of military doctor Vahe Avetyan.

"Ruben Hayrapetyan's move shows that not everything is determined by a mandate or a ministerial portfolio," says Minister of Education and Science Armen Ashotyan.

Ruben Hayrapetyan, an MP of the Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) and President of the Football Federation of Armenia, put down his deputy mandate on Tuesday following the mounting pressure of civic activists and media representatives in connection with the June 17 deadly incident at his Harsnakar Restaurant.
"In many cases even medicine is powerless," said Health Minister Derenik Dumanyan.

The minister says the condition of Artak Bayadyan and Garik Soghoyan, the other two military doctors involved in the beating, is satisfactory.

"I visited them the other day. I think that they should still remain under doctors' care," he said.
