Trial to restart on July 3
Upon the procedural decision of the RA Constitutional Court of 28 June, the court proceeding on the basis of the appeal filed by Nikol Pashinyan, deputy candidate running under the majoritarian ticket at precinct N 7 during the May 6 NA elections, will restart on July 3 at 10:00.
The plaintiff disputes the May 11 decision taken by the precinct electoral commission on the deputy election based on the results of the vote under the majoritarian ticket at precinct N 7, according to which non-partisan deputy of the former National Assembly Samvel Alexanyan nominated by the Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) was elected deputy of the National Assembly at the mentioned precinct.
Pashinyan has asked the CC to declare this decision as invalid and recognize him as the deputy elected under the majoritarian ticket at precinct N 7.
On June 15, the RA Constitutional Court started examining the case on the ground of Pashinyan's appeal and took a procedural decision on suspending the proceedings, saying there was a need to demand additional materials from several state authorities.
