Armenian soldier killed in Syria
A Syrian army soldier of Armenian decent has been killed in the neighborhood of Homs.
Jalal Melkun (born in 1992) was killed while implementing his military duty.
Armenia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs is trying to determine the cause of his death, the MFA press service informed A1+. According to the Ministry, about ten ethnic Armenians have been killed in Syria in a year, since the uprising against Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. Only one of them was a soldier of the Syrian army.
