Does Robert Kocharyan approve or disapprove government program?
After the National Assembly adopted the program submitted by the executive body we asked Republican MP Volodya Badalyan, an in-law of ex-president Robert Kocharyan to comment on his decision to vote for the controversial program which had received tough criticism by his parliament colleagues.
"As a member of the Republican faction I was to vote for the program," said Badalyan who believes that the program will be implemented in due order.
Asked whether he was obliged to vote for the program in compliance with the faction decision, Badalyan said, "I was also guided by my consciousness."
Asked whether his in-law [Robert Kocahryan] would approve the decision, Mr. Badalyan said, "I see no problem here. Have you ever heard him speak against the program?
When reminded that in his recent interview Robert Kocharyan criticized the government, the Republican MP said, "To criticise does not necessarily mean to be against something."
