Some 30 MPs registered on Wednesday to addres questions to Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan.

Naira Zohrabyan, a lawmaker of the Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK) was the first to speak. In her speech, the BHK MP harshly criticized the executive body led by Tigran Sargsyan, saying the government does not instill hopes for positive changes.

"The new government pursues the same policy and seeks to get a vote of confidence, with the same officials remaining in office after the May parliamentary elections. It is no use mounting to the rostrum in a confident posture and declaring that the country has recorded economic growth. I see no serious changes as the government continues its former policy. How is the government going to open 100 000 work places and what mechanism is it going to apply? I announce here and now that we are going to vote down the government program," said Zohrabyan.

Hrant Bagratyan, an MP of the Armenian National Congress (HAK), made an equally emotional speech. He slammed the government and said they had come to listen to the government's proposals but their expectations were frustrated.

"The so-called government program is a mere collection of judgments," he said. "What is the use of creating 100 000 workplaces if there are 73 000 unemployed in Armenia. The government had better not speculate the theme."
