HHK to destroy the dictatorship?
The Armenian National Congress (HAK) says it is ready to collaborate with all political forces that wish to support the efforts aimed at revealing cases of corruption and mobilizing the society.
"We are ready to collaborate with all political forces, including the Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) because the goal is to destroy the dictatorship and relieve the Armenian people," said leader of the HAK faction of the National Assembly Levon Zurabyan during today's press conference.
According to the newly elected deputy, were the May 6 parliamentary elections fair and transparent, the HAK would have a much higher number of deputies in the National Assembly.
"The HAK would have had at least 40-50 deputies. On May 3, we had already achieved great success with our election campaign, but the state organized crime helped lead us to failure," said Levon Zurabyan.
The HAK isn't preparing to limit itself to raising issues of their concern and presenting new programs. The HAK members will continue to hold rallies, and the first one after the parliamentary elections will be held at Freedom Square on June 26 at 19:00.
"On that day, we will tell the people about the HAK's plans, the latest developments in the international arena, as well as the newly formed Government and the discussion on its new plan. Our fight for the establishment of constitutional order in Armenia through the Constitution continues," said the HAK deputy.
Levon Zurabyan also touched upon the National Security Service calling Vardan Oskanyan to an interrogation.
"If Armenia was a democratic country, this could have been viewed as a normal process. The police could oversee the legitimacy of the funding of non-governmental organizations and punish those who committed violations. However, since we are living in a country the image of which we are very well aware of, I wouldn't be surprised to find out that all this was truly conditioned by the political state," said Levon Zurabyan.
