BHK refrains from giving assessments
"We are hopeful that in the study of all cases our law enforcement agencies will be guided by the country's laws and Constitution and will avoid giving political colouring to them," Tigran Urikhanyan, a newly-appointed spokesperson for the Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK), told A1+.
Armenia's ex-FM and founder of the Civilitas Foundation Vartan Oskanian has been summoned to the RA National Security Service earlier today to offer testimony in relation to a criminal case regarding money laundering, involving his Civilitas Foundation. Vartan Oskanian has recently joined the BHK and we asked Tigran Urikhanyan to comment on the issue.
The latter also said that the BHK will follow the future developments in the case and share its opinion.
Asked whether the party would stop cooperation with Vartan Oskanian if his foundation really turned up to be involved in money laundry, the BHK spokesperson said, "One needn't make early conclusions. We shall come up with our statement later on."
Asked whether they viewed it as pressure against the BHK, Mr. Urikhanyan said, "If everything is within law, we only salute it. All types of illegitimate actions are inadmissible for us."
