Chinese official felt sincerity
A cooperation agreement has been signed today between the prosecutor generals' offices of Armenia and the People's Republic of China. The agreement was signed by the top prosecutors of the two countries.
As Armenian Prosecutor General Aghvan Hovsepyan noted the document will enable to deepen collaboration in the field of law.
Under the document, the sides agreed to cooperate in the combat against cybercrimes and promote an exchange of experience in fighting corruption. A similar agreement has been reached between Armenia and Russia as well.
Chinese Prosecutor General Cao Jianming said his country believes that the cooperation with Armenia will be fruitful.
"This year we celebrate the 20th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Armenia. In this context, our visit is of special significance. It is the second time I am in Armenia and I feel your sincerity towards the Chinese people," the Chinese official said.
Journalists had no chance to ask questions as the two men left the hall immediately after the signing ceremony.
The first cooperation deal was signed between the parties in September 1999 in Beijing.
