Armenia following developments in Poland
Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan received Head of the National Bank of Poland Marek Belka.
"We are closely following the events taking place in Poland since we believe that your country, unlike other European countries, has the best results in economy. Your experience will be very helpful for Armenia," said Tigran Sargsyan.
The head of government mentioned that one of Armenia's main partners is the European Union, the economic growth and problems of which have their impact on Armenia. In that context, the interlocutors discussed in detail the current economic crisis across Europe, as well as the potential problems and challenges.
The sides touched upon the cooperation between the Central Bank of Armenia and the National Bank of Poland, the economic policy and programs within the CIS, the results of the agreement on the creation of a Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Zone between Armenia and the EU, as well as the reforms taking place in Armenia, reports the Government's press service.
