Another act of sabotage: One Armenian soldier killed
On June 6, at 4:15.am, Azerbaijani units tried to infiltrate Artsakh along the Horadiz section of the Line of Contact between the Nagorno Karabakh and Azerbaijani Armed Forces.
The vanguard subdivisions of the gorno-Karabakh Defense Army resorted to defensive measures and hurled the enemy back.
As a result of exchange of fire the rival retreated, incurring considerable losses. Junior Sergeant of the NKR Defense Army Vardan Ohanyan was killed, soldiers Arayik Mavreyan and Volodya Tsatryan were wounded, Press and Propaganda Department of the NKR Defense Army said in a statement.
This is the fourth time in June Azerbaijani army has attempted an incursion into the positions of the Nagorno-Karabakh Defense Army.
"The Azerbaijani authorities, particularly the country's top-ranking military officials, do not seem to understand that their strategy is not only ineffective, but, if continued, also threatens to bring about unpredictable consequences for Azerbaijan," reads the statement.
