Clinton welcomes Georgia
U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton today talked about Georgia's economy and positively assessed the economic reforms during a session held by the commission on the U.S.-Georgia strategic partnership.
"The world has positively assessed the reforms in Georgia, including the economic reforms, and that is reflected by the growing investments in the country's economy. We wish to see trade relations and the amounts of investments to move to another level," mentioned Clinton.
According to Clinton, last week U.S. and Georgian officials signed an agreement on creating a free trade zone between the U.S. and Georgia and increasing the amount of investments.
Clinton recalled that Presidents Mikhail Sahakashvili and Barack Obama had talked about the creation of a free trade zone when Sahakashvili was in the United States in late January.
We remind that Hillary Clinton visited Georgia after her visit to Armenia. Tomorrow the U.S. Secretary of State will leave for Baku.
