U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton today visited the U.S. Embassy in Yerevan where a reception was held in honour of the U.S. official.

Many high-raking officials, representatives of the public sector and political forces were present at the reception.
An interesting atmosphere reigned in the Embassy before the arrival of the U.S. official: one could see among the invitees political figures of rival teams standing side by side and talking in a friendly way.

Aram Sargsyan, Leader of the Hanrapetutyun (Republic) Party, was talking to Armine Hovannisian, the wife of Heritage Party Leader Raffi Hovannisian, then to Stepan Demirtchyan, Leader of the People's Party of Armenia (HZhK). Heritage member Armen Martirosyan was talking to HZhK Leader Stepan Demirtchyan, and Nikol Pashinyan, a senior member of the Armenian National Congress (HAK), to Heritage MP Zaruhi Postanjyan.

Gagik Tsarukyan, Leader of the Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK) and BHK Secretary Naira Zohrabyan were waiting for Mrs. Clinton's arrival with ARF-Dashnaktsutyun member Vahan Hovhannisyan. HAK member David Shahnazaryan was standing beside Khachatur Kokobelyan, Leader of the Free Democrats party and Alexander Arzumanyan, a member of the same party.

Ambassadors of France and Germany and head of the OSCE Office in Yerevan were grouped in one corner.
Among the invitees one could also see HAK Coordinator Levon Zurabyan, political scientist Stepan Grigoryan, Deputy Chief of Police Arthur Osipyan, human rights activists, President of the Central Election Commission Tigran Mukuchyan, representatives of media and many others.
