Hillary Clinton arrives in Yerevan
U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton arrived at Zvartnots Airport in Yerevan a couple of minutes ago. At the airport, she was received by a delegation led by Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian.
Hillary Clinton is visiting Armenia at the start of a tour of the South Caucasus.
Before meeting with Serzh Sargsyan, the U.S. official is scheduled to meet with representatives of civil society. In the evening, Hillary Clinton is to meet with Serzh Sargsyan and give a joint press conference with Minister Nalbandian at the presidential residence.
Note that traffic jams have been reported on the main roads leading to the airport, with some sections being repaired overnight.
