Deputies electing NA Vice-Chairmen
According to the NA agenda, the next item after the parliamentary chairman election is the election of NA vice-chairmen. Deputy of the Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) Galust Sahakyan nominated Eduard Sharmazanov and Hermine Naghdalyan from the HHK, and there were no nominations from other factions.
In his speech, Eduard Sharmazanov mentioned that if reelected, he would do everything possible to make sure that the NA is a podium for pluralism.
He also thanked former vice-chairman of the National Assembly Samvel Balasanyan for cooperation and added:
"I am ready to work with all my partners in a sphere of solidarity. Of course, there will be sharp debates, but all that has to be within the limits of correctness."
"There are many women deputies in the newly elected National Assembly and that is also thanks to the Republican Party of Armenia. We have 9 women Republicans, and my nomination goes to show all that the women deputies have done until now," said Naghdalyan, adding that she would be guided by the slogan "With my party, but for my nation".
HHK deputies Mkrtich Minasyan, Vardan Ayvazyan and Galust Sahakyan gave speeches about the HHK nominees. The election for NA vice-chairmen is underway and will last 45 minutes. Unlike the NA chairman election, the election for the vice-chairmen is more passive. The results of the election will be announced at 14:30.
