They bid government farewell with protest
While the current Government of the Republic of Armenia was holding its last session, a group of citizens held a protest in front of the government building. The citizens that hold protests every Thursday don't have many expectations from the new government.
Head of "Protection of Property Rights" NGO Vachagan Hakobyan says things will be the same as long as there are no opposition members in government.
"There should have been a deputy from the Dashnaktsutyun and another from the Armenian National Congress (HAK) and not show the whole world that the Armenian government comes to terms with the opposition. This goes to show that we will continue to disappoint everyone," said Hakobyan.
Most of the protesters are the residents that were deprived of their homes in central Yerevan and haven't received any compensation to this day.
"I have no hope. I have talked to the Prime Minister several times, but they haven't done anything," said Vachagan Hakobyan.
The residents of different villages of Kotayk province had also come to protest the sharp fall of milk prices.
Ghevond Sargsyan mentioned that the villagers had come to protest the fall of milk prices and said he didn't understand what was going on.
The protesters assured that they would continue to come to the government building as long as their issues remain unsolved.
