Armenians proved their will to survive and rebuild
On May 28, the Canadian Senate hosted a reception timed to the 94th anniversary of the first Armenian Republic. The event was initiated by the Armenian Embassy, Armenian National Committee of Canada and Armenia-Canada Parliamentary Friendship Group.
In his opening remarks, Armenia's Ambassador to Canada Armen Yeganyan said that 94 years ago Armenians were able to prove that they were able to survive, win and recreate their statehood.
The event was attended by members of the Canadian legislative and executive bodies, ambassadors accredited in Canada and representatives of the local Armenian community.
