Armenia's former finance minister Edward Sandoyan treats the newly-formed National Assembly with sarcasm.

"One of the most important norms of the country's Organic Law has been violated; most of the NA MPs represent business circles. As a result, we have an economic pitfall where political and economic interests have mingled together," he stressed.

"It is much easier to make investments in the political field, gain political power than be engaged in business," he said.

The economist says it is not accidental that the country has failed to create advanced financial institutes and the market is still under the impact of foreign transfers. He advises considering the latest currency fluctuations normal since Armenia does not have the right economic tools to fight it. Besides, as the economist says, in that case we shall boost the country's economy and export and attract more investments.

The former finance minister ascribes the economic achievements to the Diaspora and says Armenia does not fully use the potential of its Diaspora.
